StorieTree Professional Education awards continuing education (CE) credit in accordance with APA Office of CE Sponsor Approval requirements. CE credit is granted only for verified participation in the full instructional time of an approved activity and completion of all required evaluations and assessments.
StorieTree Professional Education awards continuing education (CE) credit in accordance with APA Office of CE Sponsor Approval requirements. CE credit is awarded based on one (1) CE credit per full sixty (60) minutes of instructional time, exclusive of breaks, meals, or non-instructional activities.
Credit is awarded only for verified participation in the entire instructional hour(s) of an approved activity and completion of all required evaluations and assessments. Partial credit is not awarded.
CE credit is awarded on the basis of one credit per full hour of instructional time.
Participants must attend the entire duration of each course or session for which credit is sought.
Attendance is monitored and documented by the Program Administrator or designated staff.
Partial credit is not awarded for partial attendance.
For in-person and live synchronous (webinar) programs, CE credit is awarded only when a participant is present for the entire instructional hour(s) as scheduled. Instructional time does not include breaks, meals, or administrative announcements.
Attendance is verified through sign-in/sign-out procedures and additional attendance measures (e.g., platform attendance data, interactive check-ins, visual confirmation when appropriate). Participants who miss more than 15 consecutive minutes of instructional time for any hour are not eligible to receive CE credit for that hour.
For in-person events, participants must:
Sign in at the start of the session and sign out at the conclusion;
Be present for the full instructional period (excluding scheduled breaks);
Participate in course activities as appropriate; and
For live online events, participants must:
Sign in using their own name at the start of the session;
Be present for the full instructional period (excluding scheduled breaks);
Participate in required attendance-verification activities (e.g., check-ins, chat responses, polls)
Attendance is verified through a combination of platform attendance data, real-time check-ins, and periodic visual or interactive confirmation by the Program Administrator.
Camera use may be requested as one method of attendance verification; however, alternative verification methods are available to ensure accessibility for participants with disabilities, health needs, bandwidth limitations, or other barriers. Participants are encouraged to request accommodations in advance or during the event as needed.
For asynchronous programs, CE credit is awarded based on the estimated instructional time required to complete the activity, which has been reviewed and approved in advance. One (1) CE credit is awarded for each full sixty (60) minutes of instructional content.
For asynchronous courses, participants must:
Review all instructional materials, including videos, handouts, and workbooks;
Complete all required learning activities;
Achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on the required content quiz
CE credit is awarded only after all requirements are met.
The Program Administrator conducts attendance checks multiple times throughout each session.
For online courses, attendance may be verified through sign-in/sign-out procedures, platform data, interactive prompts, or other appropriate methods.
Participants are informed at the start of each course how attendance will be monitored.
Participants who are not engaged or absent for more than 15 consecutive minutes of instructional time may be at risk of not receiving CE credit for that session.
Participants are expected to attend the full length of each course. If a participant is unable to attend a portion of a synchronous session due to illness, disability-related needs, technology failure, or other circumstances, they must notify the Program Administrator as soon as possible.
If a participant is unable to attend a portion of a live synchronous session, they will not receive CE credit for that session. When an approved asynchronous version of the course is available, the participant may complete the asynchronous program in full and receive CE credit upon successful completion of all asynchronous requirements.
When feasible, participants who miss required instructional time may be offered the option to:
Complete the course via an approved asynchronous format, and
Receive CE credit upon full review of the material and successful completion of the required quiz and evaluation.
Final determination of eligibility for credit following an absence is made by the Program Administrator in accordance with APA requirements.
When multiple courses or sessions are offered on the same day:
Participants may register for individual sessions rather than a full program;
Attendance is tracked separately for each session;
Participants must sign in and out for each session and return promptly following scheduled breaks.
When a program includes multiple sessions or is offered across multiple days, CE credit is awarded only for those individual sessions for which full attendance requirements are met. Participants must sign in and out for each session and return promptly following scheduled breaks.
Cancellations made one week or more prior to the course will receive a refund minus a $50 administrative fee.
Cancellations made with 24 hours’ notice will receive a refund minus a $100 administrative fee.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are not eligible for a refund but may be applied as credit toward a future course.
For synchronous courses disrupted by technical or administrative issues attributable to the provider, refunds or credits will be issued to the original method of payment within 30 days, for courses purchased no more than 60 days prior to the request.
This attendance policy is provided to participants:
At registration,
In pre-course materials, and
At the start of each course.
