Please see below for current Continuing Education approval information categorized by license type and presentation format.
We make every effort to keep this page updated with any new information as it is announced by the various licensing boards. It is always your responsibility to contact your appropriate state board to confirm the latest information regarding CE requirements for your state and profession.
StorieTree Professional Education offers courses that provide continuing education hours as required by many national, state and local licensing boards and is an APA-approved sponsor of continuing education. Each licensee should carefully check this page and ensure courses taken meet their specific licensure/renewal needs.
StorieTree Professional Education is an APA-approved sponsor of continuing education. That approval is the foundation for CE across several license types, not just psychology. This page explains what our CE hours mean for your license, organized by profession, with specific details for Georgia licensees.
We update this page when boards announce changes, but licensing rules are set by each state board and change often. You are responsible for confirming that a course meets the requirements for your license, profession, and state before you register.
StorieTree Professional Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. StorieTree Professional Education maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
CE from APA-approved sponsors is accepted by psychology licensing boards throughout the United States. A small number of states have additional requirements, such as specific mandated topics or limits on online hours, so please confirm with your board.
Licensed outside the U.S.? You're welcome to attend. Check with your local regulatory body about how APA-sponsored CE applies to you.

Everyone is welcome at our workshops. If you hold a license not listed here, your certificate of attendance documents the hours you completed, and your board can tell you whether they apply.
StorieTree is based in Georgia, and many of our participants are Georgia-licensed, so here's what APA sponsorship means under Georgia's rules specifically.
Our workshops qualify as Approved Sponsored Continuing Education (Area III) under the rules of the Georgia State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
Area III hours can be earned in person, live online, or on-demand, and can make up your full renewal requirement.
Georgia psychologist recap
40 CE hours are required each biennium.
6 of those hours must be in professional ethics, earned in person or through a live (synchronous) webinar.
Ethics workshops taken on-demand count as general hours only, not toward the ethics requirement.
For the full requirements, see Chapter 510-8 of the Georgia Rules and Regulations on the Board's website.
The Georgia Composite Board recognizes psychology as an allied profession.
That means CE from an APA-approved sponsor counts toward your related hours rather than your core hours.
Georgia LPC, LCSW, and LMFT recap
35 CE hours are required each biennium.
Up to 15 of those hours may be related hours, which is where our APA-sponsored workshops apply.
No more than 10 hours may be asynchronous (on-demand).
5 hours must be in professional ethics relating to counseling, social work, or MFT, earned through live (synchronous) activities. Because our ethics workshops are APA-sponsored, please confirm with the Board whether they satisfy your ethics requirement or apply as related hours.
For the full requirements, see Chapter 135-9 (Rule 135-9-.01(2)(f)(1)) of the Georgia Rules and Regulations on the Composite Board's website. The Composite Board tracks CE through CE Broker, so upload your certificates there as you earn them.
After each workshop, you'll receive a certificate listing the workshop title, date, format (live or on-demand), number of CE hours, and our APA sponsor statement. Keep your certificates for at least the length of your renewal cycle in case you're selected for an audit.
Workshops completed before [APA approval effective date] were approved individually [by the Georgia Psychological Association]. Those certificates remain valid under the approval printed on them.
We're glad to help you figure out how a workshop applies to your license. Reach us at contact@storietree.com.
For a definitive answer about your own renewal, your state board is the final authority.
Many boards treat these two formats differently, especially for ethics, so it helps to know which one you're taking.
You attend in real time on Zoom with the presenter and other participants, and you can ask questions and interact as the workshop happens. Most boards count synchronous hours the same as in-person hours.
You watch a recorded workshop on your own schedule, review the handouts, and pass a post-test to earn credit. On-demand courses are not interactive. Many boards cap how many asynchronous hours you can use per renewal period, and some require ethics hours to be live.
